On all lots the bank above the water will at various times have displays of rock flowers and succulents as well as some small willow. Distributed through the lots you will see salal, Oregon grape, a variety of ferns and mushrooms as well as deer’s head orchid or fairy slipper. The geology varies from sand stone to shale over lain with glacial deposit material of differing depths and type. Pockets of fertile soil exist, particularly between knolls and ridges.
